The forest, where I had spent my formative years, deteriorated before my eyes as a consequence of a long-term drought, and I watched in sorrow as smoke ascended from the trees one summer. The forest fire that decimated our trees also wiped out our food supply. Wild mushroom soup, berry preserves, and rabbit stew were all out of the question. The tragedy had a physical and emotional impact on everyone in our community.

Overall: 9/10. I don’t know about all the health claims that the manufacturer makes, but this sure is a nice substitute for coffee. In terms of quality, this is probably the best bang for your buck that you can get in the matcha world. If you’re looking for something a little different, and don’t want to waste money, this is well worth a try.

I compared Matcha Konomi Akira Ceremonial grade and The Rike Matcha blend. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the superior culinary blend! The color, texture and taste is a VERY close runner to the ceremonial grade. Highly recommend.!
