The Power of Speaking Softly

Lower your voice. Let it go.

Because tomorrow ain’t here yet, so slow down, slow down. Breathe

Raising your volume is unkind.

There will be times in life when people will debate with you, disagree with you, and even belittle you.

In these moments, when you don’t feel heard, you might think raising your volume is the only way to be heard.

But it’s not.

No matter how many times you have to repeat yourself, don’t raise your voice. It’s never helpful.

All it does is create tension in the room and uneasiness.

And these heavy emotions are not worth anything.

You can repeat yourself a few times, but if you’ve understood that the other person has made up their mind and is not going to budge no matter what you say, let it go.

Let them take the win. Your peace is always more important than winning an argument.

Either leave the room and remain quiet. That will be your true victory.

Dreamlike halo, or: Kissed by moonlight.

When it comes to partnership, some humans can make their lives alone – it’s possible. But creatively, it’s more like painting: you can’t just use the same colours in every painting. It’s just not an option. You can’t take the same photograph every time and live with art forms with no differences.
