Rediscovering Healing: A Reflection on Modern Disconnect

Healing in the chaos

I remember back when, five years ago, I delved into the concept of "healing" through yoga classes. It wasn't just a simple phrase; it was truly an energy that transformed people. But lately, scrolling through social media, I see everyone becoming more chaotic and detached from our natural selves, misunderstanding, then using that term as sarcasm, mockery, making fun of it.

In a society as fast-paced as now, perhaps modern technology has replaced human relationships, and we've overlooked the overall quality of life. I remember one day sitting in a cafe and observing people immersed in their phones or tablets. Every day, we wander with strangers online, not seeing our neighbors every day. We also don't bother to inquire. "I don't care about the weather," what's that about?

We also don't know if our neighbors have any problems. What are we doing here? I wonder if we still realize that we're sinking into illusion every day or not? The truth is, we're losing our most important connections. Many of us also realize that the online world can't replace real human connections. Instead, we're becoming more prone to harm and irritation, making hasty decisions easily. This recklessness seriously affects our physical, mental, and spiritual health.

At this moment, when the phrase "healing" is being mocked on social media. I remember one day I walked through the park and witnessed a scene that kept me awake all night. A middle-aged man sat on a stone bench looking weary. He stared blankly at the lake and tremblingly held his phone. I overheard him talking to someone on the phone, saying he lost his job, lost a loved one, and didn't know what to do next. It deeply moved me about someone who once believed in the power of healing but now sees it tarnished in his own life.

Perhaps the conveniences of the modern world are making our situations worse. I don't think people can continue deceiving themselves for much longer. We wonder why we feel so empty and lonely when around us are fast food and soulless entertainment that pollute our minds. It pollutes to the point where we can't even swallow our food anymore.

So what do we do now? The important thing is to go back to the source, to nature, and most importantly, to ourselves. Everyone deserves our help. A relationship isn't for anything other than the fact that we are human with each other. That's why, despite the world's contempt, I will continue to write and share the stories I witness. Because I believe reminding people of the power of healing is important; only when our hearts are healed will our meals taste delicious.
