Much to my excitement, I planted fifty seeds of Vinca Major, or Bigleaf Periwinkle, hoping to turn a section of my yard into a bright blue carpet. This shrub, which is native to the western Mediterranean and has enticing blue blossoms, is sure to bring a timeless beauty to my outdoor area. This is my tale, from the first seed to the last bloom of these magical flowers.

To begin with, the seeds:

My selection of 50 premium seeds was motivated by my curiosity in Bigleaf Periwinkle's ability to produce an abundance of ground cover due to their evergreen leaves.
I made sure the garden bed was well-prepared and rich in organic matter because Vinca Major prefers well-drained soil.
